Ok. It’s time. Just Do It!

We are about to begin the last months of development. 3 months, just to be clear.
It’s a lot of work still to do and we have no time left!

We are, exentially, doing 4 things right now:

  1. Last month to change things: If something bother us, or it just doesn’t feel as good as it has to be, we are still in time to modify it. We talk about it and then we decide to keep it, remove it or change it. If we keep doing this over and over the game won’t be release so fast, and we don’t want this :)
  2. Close Events: we started to close events. We have to take off all the placeholder and replace them with proper objects or characters. Find the right image-effect for the camera or the best sound for a particular moment. Also we are changing every bad written text with proper text according to the story. Lately we are going to translate it for you, and it’s not an easy task with 15k words
  3. Optimizing: We need this in every moment of our development. We have to find bad written code and fix it. Replace models with higher polycount than normal and rearrange them. We want that everyone will be able to play The Town Of Light without hiccups or slowing down. Holy FPS!
  4. Public Relation: Development is of course our main focus, but we know that while the game needs to speak for himself, PR are vital to make sure to let everyone one knows about The Town of Light and our vision. So, we are also planning a lot of updates on the website, show the game at shows around the world, events, youtube video, streaming and everything else needed to tell you all the details about the game and is release.

Consider that we are a very small team working full-time on the project (5-6 at the moment) and you will understand why we have no time left.

      Globale.eventi[395] = true;
      Globale.ultimoCapitolo = 16;

And here’s a snippet of code, just for fun ( in italian of course!).

That’s it!

I really hope that this updating post didn’t bore you to death (And sorry for mistakes here and there, if you want to correct me in a private message(PLS) feel free to do it).

Pandorya plays The Town of Light and other news.

It’s been a while since our last update, it’s time to share some news.
The development is still going as fast as we can, we are very satisfied with the graphic results we achieved and we are moving on defining and polishing all the events of the game.
We are trying to reach as many youtubers, journalist, website as possible, in order to let you see how the game is evolving and the point we are so far.

We are trying to give you more translations, the demo of the game is already translated in five languages (Italian, english, russian, spanish and bulgarian) and we intend to have italian, english and russian voice acting.

Probably you already saw some videos going on our social networks (if you don’t please follow us on Facebook and Twitter), anyway this is the video from Pandorya (Thank you so much). It covers the first part of the game, we are realising as a demo (press and youtube exclusive).

That’s it for this update, we hope you like the new visual output and the story so far, let us know what you think about it and share it with your friends!

New arrivals, new screens and vote for us!

We are going to face the last part of the production of “The Town of Light”.
We will announce soon the official release date along with other important news.
We are thrilled to announce the further growth of our team, with the arrival of:

  • Lorenzo Conticelli & Leonardo Iezzi: 3D artists & level designers
  • Giulio Muntoni: programmer
  • Davide Terreni (Aseptic Void): composer

The wait is still long, but we are confident that it’s worth it, the contents of the game have been enriched and we are constantly improving the overall quality.
We can’t wait to show you the new part of the game we’re working on.
